Job Description:

As a Supervisory Detention and Deportation Officer, Assistant Field Office Director you will provide assistance to the Field Office Director (FOD) and the Deputy Field Office Director (DFOD) in managing the day-to-day operations and procedures of the enforcement and removal activity throughout the Field Office area of responsibility. Specifically, you perform the following duties:

  • Providing assistance in adjudicating applications for Stays of Deportation, and ascertain that all decisions based upon appropriate exercise of discretion fall within policy guidelines.
  • Performing administrative and human resources management functions relative to the staff supervised.
  • Implementing the goals of equal employment opportunity (EEO) by taking steps to assure the accomplishment of EEO objectives by adhering to nondiscriminatory employment practices in regard to race, color, religion,sex, national origin, age ,or handicap.
  • Serving as technical expert and liaison in developing and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Serving as liaison to other agencies, at conferences, and on-boards or committees.
