Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Armament Supervisor, performs a full range of
work involved in troubleshooting, repair, service and maintenance of small arms and towed artillery. Performs physical security, key and lock control, safety and environmental control duties.


  1. Performs Field and Sustainment Level Maintenance on all types of military Small Arms and Artillery equipment (pistols, handguns, rifles, machine guns, chain guns, mortar systems, towed howitzers and related sub-systems).
  2. Performs borescope, pullover gauging of gun tubes; and update records IAW applicable technical regulations.
  3. Determines the nature and extent of repairs required; disassembles and examines parts and assemblies for serviceability; replaces parts and assemblies as required.
  4. Accepts, troubleshoots, diagnose, repairs and completes documentation of work orders.
  5. Performs initial, in-process and final inspections.
  6. Performs physical and serial number inventories of Arms, Ammunition and Explosives (AA&E) and other sensitive items.
  7. Adheres to K-BOSSS Contract PWS and U.S. Government Regulations and Policies.
  8. Performs other duties as required.


Electronic Computers, Small Arms, Artillery or General Mechanic tool boxes, TM’s, precision tools, generators, power tools, overhead lifts, military/commercial vehicles.


Work is generally conducted in a maintenance shop environment; however, duties may involve the conduct of work in outdoor areas with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions/ambient temperatures. Work will require lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA,
and Fire Regulations and published company work rules.


Work may require lifting up to 70lbs, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents.



Education/Certifications​​ : ​ One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

  1. High school graduate or equivalent
  2. Technical Certification in Military Weapon Systems Maintenance (Small Arms, Artillery etc.) or Civilian Equivalent.
  3. A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and Kuwait Driver’s License.
  4. HAZMAT Handling/Transportation Training – desired
  5. DD214 required to validate prior military training.

Experience​​ : Minimum of two (2) years of work related technical experience.

  6. Ability to work effectively with employees and management of all levels to include multi-national staff, superiors, and ranking military officers.

  8. Must be knowledgeable of/possesses the ability to identify the military rank structure.
  9. Must be able to function effectively with little to no guidance.
  10. Possesses excellent computer skills (MS Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and Excel).
  11. Ability to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion.
  12. Ability to identify all variants of military arms and associated equipment
  13. Must be knowledgeable of Physical Security Requirements for AA&E IAW ARs 190-11 and 190-13
  14. Must be knowledgeable of Key and Lock Control procedures IAW AR 190-51
  15. Must be knowledgeable of the supply control requirements of AA&E IAW AR 710-2 and DA Pam 710-2-1
  16. Must possess a High-level organizational and planning skills to ensure workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.
  17. Must possess excellent knowledge of HAZMAT control measures for Tritium, DU and other environmental hazards
  18. Ability to read, analyze, understand and interpret reports, wiring diagrams/schematics drawings, blueprints ​ and documents.
  19. Knowledge of electronic and mechanical principles and concepts.
  20. Ability to operate electronic, electrical and mechanical test equipment.
  21. ​ Knowledge of operation, testing and maintenance of specific types of weapons systems.
