Job Description:

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) provides specialized training, advisory and mentoring services to host nations under the Criminal Division’s International Criminal Investigative Training and Assistance Program (ICITAP)   ICITAP is a cornerstone of America’s global strategy for combating transnational crime, countering trafficking in persons, establishing rule of law and enhancing human rights in developing countries.  Engility is the contract service provider to the DOJ ICITAP and Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training (OPDAT) programs.  For over a decade, Engility has fielded hundreds of highly skilled criminal justice professional supporting ICITAP and OPDAT.
This position is deployable in country as needed and must be willing to travel across central America.   
Qualifications: 
  • 15-20 years of progressive law enforcement experience to include significant experience as a senior level law enforcement manager or police executive.
  • Preferred past or present experience serving as a trainer, or having responsibility for the delivery of entry level law enforcement training, and/or in-service law enforcement training at local, state or federal level.
  • Demonstrated progressive supervision, management and leadership experience relating to the delivery of civilian law enforcement services and all aspects of police administration and operations
  • Thorough understanding of community policing, organized crime, criminal investigations, internal affairs, and field training programs.
  • Must have the ability to assess the delivery of specialized law enforcement activities and make appropriate recommendations relating to the implementation of capacity building activities and the creation of sustainable institutional change.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills.
  • Master’s degree or PhD is preferred, but a combination of documented law enforcement work experience and related education can be substituted
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOJ issued Public Trust Waiver
  • Must be US citizen due to Government customers requirement to obtain a DOJ PTW clearance
