Have a general knowledge of small arms and crew serve weapon systems.
Procedures include storing, issuing and maintaining or establishing accountability of
organizational small arms and sensitive items including preserving security and administration of a consolidated arms room, unit maintenance of small arms and physical security for small arms and sensitive items of equipment. Responsible for receiving, logging, inventory, controlling, and distribution of sensitive items. The Small Arms Custodian is primarily responsibilities is the safe guard of weapons and weapon systems.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Automated data processing equipment to include computer, printer, and other general office equipment outfitted with MSOffice software; floor dolly’s, general tools
Work is generally conducted in-doors but can also be done out-doors with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Work may require lifting up to 50 lbs; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting; and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents . May be exposed to oil, grease, and solvents. May frequently be exposed to the possibility of minor cuts and bruises. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA.
Education/Certifications : One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
High School graduate or equivalent.
