Personnel will be responsible for the operation and management of an arms
room, ensuring that property security and accountability of all weapons are satisfied. The Armorer will conduct inventory control, requisition processing, receiving, issuing, and storage of firearms. The Armorer will provide basic maintenance to ensure weapons are mission ready.
•Must be a U.S. Citizen.
•Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
•Candidates must have an active U.S. Government Secret clearance.
•Must hold valid U.S. Passport and U.S. Driver’s License.
•Must have attended a U.S. military armorer’s course or commercially available class which covers the basic field level maintenance on M4, M11, and M9 systems.
•Candidates must have Six (6) years of experience in an ammunition and weapons management environment providing preventative/corrective maintenance on M4, M11, and M9 platforms.
•Experience supporting DoD or the Intelligence Community in an overseas location is highly desired.
•Maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to all safety procedures.
•Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office software.
•Capable of making independent decisions and strong communication skills.
•Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs.
•Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
•Physically able to have neck rotation, trunk rotation, climb stairs and ladders, repetitive bending, kneeling, squatting, forward and overhead reaching, crawl, and lift bulky items.
•Able to work in both indoors and outdoors and be exposed to dust, fumes, and gasses from running engines and motors.
•Able to live and work in remote locations with extended exposure to the elements.
